Scott Binns began his career in corporate recruiting within the health care space before joining Crowley as a Senior Corporate Recruiter in 2014. He progressed through the Talent Acquisition Manager role and was promoted to the Director, Global Talent Acquisition in January of 2020.

Scott leads a team of ten, stretching from Anchorage, AK to San Salvador, El Salvador by supporting 2,300 employees in the recruitment of all administrative positions. Seagoing and union positions are filled by an altogether separate Marine Recruiting department, which supports 3,700 employees. In 2020, even with the global pandemic, Scott’s team hired over 500 people globally to fill regular, temporary, student and internship positions. Scott continues to spearhead searches himself as the official recruiter-of-record for select leadership positions.

Scott is a graduate of Florida State University’s business school and has been in and around recruitment in some way, shape or form since 1996.

Scott spent his first 13 years within recruitment as a headhunter for the hospitality industry by “placing” managers and chefs with restaurant and hotel groups across the country.
